Ladybug Parade

   

    There’s something about ladybugs.  I don’t know what it is, but I think they’re cute.  I’m always excited to find one, especially since I never know when one will appear.  Ladybugs show up when they want to.  They can also show up anywhere.  I don’t mind.  No matter where or when I find a ladybug, it always puts a smile on my face.

    Even though I like ladybugs, I didn’t go into this quilt thinking about them.  That came later after I had gotten the fabric, made the design, and started sewing.  Only with the border might I have had ladybugs on my mind, and even then I’m not fully sure.  The feeling of ladybugs came upon me gradually.  I can’t say when it started, but I knew when I finished sewing that this was a quilt for the ladybugs.
