My favorite literary genre is the
mystery. Cozy mysteries especially. It was only a matter of time before I made
a mystery-themed quilt.
Well, maybe a mystery-themed
quilt isn’t quite accurate. I wasn’t thinking about mysteries when I designed
this quilt. Nor did I use any mystery-themed fabric. The only true mystery is:
can this quilt really be made with only eight fat quarters or eight quarters
yards plus sashing? It can!
This 60” x 60” quilt can be made
with just eight fat quarters or eight quarter yards plus sashing when the
cutting instructions are followed exactly. When joined with the other blocks, the
sashing closes in the main fabrics, turning them into the perfect locations for
their very own locked-room mysteries.
