10” squares and sashing are all you need for this quilt top.

Have you ever seen a movie set in
the 1800s where a manuscript is tied up with string? That is what came to mind
as I was designing this quilt. Some of the fabric has handwriting on it which
makes me think of old-fashioned manuscripts. That is why I created sashing to
tie it up, just as they would have done back then.
Now that I think of it, the
fabric pack I used to make this quilt goes with the tied-up manuscript theme as
well. I used a pack of 40 10” precut squares. The company packaged them with
two crossing plastic sleeves to hold them together, just as someone would do
with twine or string. I guess things were “all tied up” all around.
