             I don’t always have the TV on when I sew.  Sometimes I enjoy working in silence.  With nothing else to distract me, the silence allows me to concentrate on what I’m doing, and only on what I’m doing.

                

              The quiet also helps me listen to the sewing machine.  I am able to listen and hear if anything sounds as though it’s not operating properly.  If my sewing machine isn’t operating properly, I’m really not going to get any work done.
