Ironing
Ironing can be a hassle
especially when it’s done in a small space, as I have. Inevitably I hit my hand on something. Sometimes my head. Since I use a small
board, there is always more quilt than space.
Of course, little threads needing to be trimmed appear from nowhere. It is all a hassle, but it is one that needs
to done.
That’s
because an ironed quilt top and back is what helps make a quilt look so great
in the end. There is less risk of
catches and tucks as it’s being quilted.
Yes, there are times when a fold just won’t go away no matter how many
times you iron it, but it is still worth a try.
The quilt will look so much better in the end.
