Design Inspiration

       Inspiration for creating a new quilt pattern can really come from anywhere.  Recently I have been looking at gardens, lawn ornaments, and trellises for ideas on something new to create.

        Other times I work off other interests I have; like film, home remodeling, or tennis.  I will find an object from one of the interests, and figure out how I can create a design around it.

          Then there are the occasions where I have a shape I want to experiment with.  Or a letter of the alphabet.  I work with what I have in mind, and figure out how I can transform it into a quilt.

          As you can see, really anything can inspire a new quilt design.
