Finishing Kits

           My mom and I are really working on keeping our sewing room organized.  With so many projects going on at one time, and quilt tops needing to be quilted, we have started creating, what we call, finishing kits.  We take a two-gallon resealable bag and put in the scraps, extra fabric, and binding fabric of a quilt top so that it stays together and we don’t accidentally use any of it for something else.  This makes finishing our quilting projects so much easier, because I don’t know how many times we have found a piece of fabric and stood around trying to remember what it was for.  Thankfully, as of yet, our forgetfulness has not led us to using a fabric we need for another project.  The finishing kits, though, help us avoid that possibility altogether.
