When It Comes to Binding…
When hand-sewing on a binding,
though, I do my best to match the thread color to the binding fabric. The binding thread is not something I want
standing out to someone looking at my quilt.
That is why I try to make my stitches as unnoticeable as possible. I used to make them really small to do this,
but as I’ve put on more bindings, my stitches have gotten bigger. Not too big, just big enough that sewing on
the binding goes much faster than it did before while still keeping the binding
secure.
